A commanding pelican perches atop a weathered piling, surveying the tidal marshes stretching out beneath a dramatic, cloud-filled sky. Painted in rich, expressive brushwork, Pelican Brief captures the quiet authority of coastal wildlife — still, watchful, and utterly at home in the wild.

Inspired by the breathtaking coastal scenery of Wilmington Island, Georgia — the place Jody C. calls home — this piece is a love letter to the marshes, the light, and the wildlife that make this corner of the world so unforgettable.
